Colombian tenor – Camilo Delgado Díaz – a highly skilled stage performer embracing both Classical and Baroque repertoire. His versatile voice, outstanding musicianship, and compelling stage presence allow him to interpret a wide range of works, from Handel and Mozart to contemporary composers.

In 2020, he was selected for the Junges Ensemble season 2020/2021 at the Musiktheater im Revier in Gelsenkirchen, where his engagement was subsequently extended for the 2021/2022 season.

During his final year of master’s studies in Baroque singing, he performed in Alcina by Handel under the baton of Maestro Andrea Marcon with the Venice Baroque Orchestra at the Teatro Olimpico di Vicenza, as the winning tenor of the “Voci Olimpiche” Competition. He is also a prizewinner of the Aria Borealis Competition in Bodø, Norway, where he received 2nd Prize under the direction of Lars Ulrik Mortensen and Dame Emma Kirkby.

He has also appeared at the Heidelberger Frühling Festival in Castor et Pollux, and collaborated with renowned ensembles such as Le Poème Harmonique, Concert d’Astrée, Seicento Vocale Ensemble, and Musica Temprana.

In recent seasons, he continues to expand his international presence with engagements including L’incoronazione di Poppea with Le Poème Harmonique at the Teatro Mayor Julio Mario Santo Domingo in 2025, as well as collaborations with the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in New York and the Westerkerk in Amsterdam, performing Bach and a wide range of Baroque repertoire in 2025 and 2026.

He has also distinguished himself in contemporary repertoire, participating in two major world premieres: Electric Dreams by Matthew Shlomowitz at the Steirischer Herbst Festival (2017), and Innocence by Kaija Saariaho. This production has taken him to major international stages including the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence (2021), Finnish National Opera (2022), Royal Opera House in London (2023), Dutch National Opera (2023), San Francisco Opera (2024), Adelaide Festival, and upcoming performances at the Metropolitan Opera House and Copenhagen Opera House in 2026, as well as the Opéra Bastille in Paris in 2027.
